Over sixty years of packaging technology from Wormer

From packer to machine builder

In 1962 M. Musk founded Muskopak, after seven years as technical manager at packaging company Phia in Uithoorn. When Phia closed its packaging department, he was asked to sell the remaining machines. He also took over the remaining packaging work, for customers such as Boon and Schuitema. With three employees, the company filled the well-known packs of chocolate sprinkles in blue and yellow wrapping.

In 1963 the company moved to Wormer, into the former paint mill De Jonge Wolf on the Veerdijk. Two years later it moved again, to the former Hollandia Pellerij building at Veerdijk 43. There Muskopak developed its first own packaging machine, for De Zwart-Wit Koning, known for the Flipper and Beertjes brands.

Trading and production

Muskopak bought used machines, at auctions among other places, both for its own production and for resale. In 1973 the new building on the Bruynvisweg opened. Packaging and machine trading both kept growing, and in 1978 they were split: Machinehandel Muskopak B.V. moved into Bruynvisweg 26.

In 1988 Muskopak Packaging B.V. was sold, so that all attention could go to machine trading. Responding to the market, Muskopak started developing compact packaging machines at competitive prices. This led to the founding of Intropack Machinery Holland B.V. in 1997.

One company, two names

Since 1 January 2008 Intropack Machinery Holland has been a trade name of Machinehandel Muskopak B.V. Under Intropack we build new machines, under Muskopak we supply used ones. Our machines now run at customers in the Netherlands and far beyond.
